Shouvik Majumdar joined Contiem in July 2021 as Managing Director of Contiem’s office and operations in India. He has over 30 years of experience in leading software development and infrastructure teams, setting up global service centers for companies such as British Telecom, American Express, Royal Bank of Scotland and SSP Worldwide.
Throughout his career, Mr. Majumdar has grown through the ranks in software development and has held positions like Head of Software Development, Head of Infrastructure, Head of Engineering, COO and Managing Director working across multiple geographies and clients, both government and private sector. He has established practices for mission critical applications like global payments, mortgages, transaction banking, telecom pricing and billing and ecommerce platforms.
Mr. Majumdar is known for building remote, global, and culturally diverse teams. He has mentored, developed roadmaps, and managed engineering teams for startups and entrepreneurs in areas like edu-tech, insure-tech and travel. He believes that delivering software and services across multiple cultures is a critical skill for being successful in a digital and seamless world of the future.
Mr. Majumdar attended Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, India and has a BE in Electrical Engineering.
